On the The Bakumatsu Iboku Appraisal Committee

We have launched The The Bakumatsu Iboku Appraisal Committee to properly appraise the works by the three greats of end of Edo period known as Bakumatsu Sanshu: Katsu Kaishu, Takahashi Deishu, Yamaoka Tesshu.
An appraisal is conducted once a month by a committee of experts, and an appraisal certificate is issued for the following generations.
A portion of the appraisal proceeds will go towards the preservation, restoration and share of the works of Bakumatsu Sanshu.
Appraisal fee
Appraisal fee : 30,000 yen per work (tax included)
If Authentic, we will provide the certificate of authenticity on the box or seal for 10,000 yen(tax included).

2. Entrusting your work
You may submit your work by bringing it to our gallery.

Appraisal date: Once a month
*The appraisal date varies monthly. Feel free to contact us for the date.
We would kindly like to ask for you to bring your desired object of appraisal 10 days prior to the date of the event. If you bring your work past the deadline, we will have to appraise it at the next month’s meeting. Please pay the appraisal fee when you bring your work.
3. Appraisal
The appraisal will be conducted by the appraisal committee.
If a work is verified, a certificate will be issued.
4. Notification of Results
You will be contacted by telephone or email regarding the result of the appraisal.
Once the payment of the certificate issuing fee is completed, your work will be returned to the address below, where you then may collect your work.
We kindly ask for your patience, as the certificate requires time to be issued.
