Serizawa Keisuke (1895-1984) was a Taisho to Showa period textile designer, born in Shizuoka. Graduated from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. His encounter with Yanagi Soetsu, the founder of Mingei Movement, and his visits to Okinawa inspired him to create his signature katazome (stencil-dyeing) works.
